Chris makes wheel thrown pottery in Asheville, North Carolina. Taking a break from his professional cooking career, he began pottery classes after his second daughter was born, and continued them while he was a stay at home dad. He spent many nights in a shed in his backyard with his wheel, practicing and perfecting his skills. Three years later, when the restaurant he worked for was destroyed by Hurricane Helene, he decided to take his pottery to the next level and started selling it locally and online.

He makes functional pieces inspired by simplicity. He leans on his degree in Chemistry and his many years working in restaurants in Austin and New York City to give him a unique perspective when it comes to creating clay vessels and objects for utilitarian use.

Originally from Scotland, Chris now lives in Asheville, North Carolina with his family.
